Frostbite Heats Up...a bit!

With team Rooney in charge last weekend Race 6 of the Frostbite Series should have been held but it was decided, with winds gusting force 5 from the west, to cancel racing. There was of course no connection with fact that the rugby was starting at 3pm! Next week is the penultimate race of the series with all to sail for, not to mention an appearance by Santa after the race.

In the A Fleet only 10 points separate the leaders in the Frostbite: Dara O'Connor in third, Andy Browne and Diane Burgess in second and the McLaughlins in first. The B Fleet looks like a battle between Conor Quinn and Stephen Finnegan with Matthew McNulty a close third, but still anything can happen.

RYANI have recently announced the youth squad for 2013 and the young Laser sailors of the Club were not to be outdone by the Topper sailors and notched up another 4 places, giving a record 8 on squads - testament to the hard work and commitment of Club coaches and parents alike. The sailors selected were Conor O'Farrell, Helen McParland, Paul McParland and Kate MacAdorey.
