McNulty Turns on Style for Santa

Last Sunday provided near perfect sailing conditions with a force three from the east. Stephen Finnegan had no trouble setting a great course with very little help from Finnegan senior. Both fleets started together and as usual there was plenty of argey bargey at the start line.

The best start was from The McLaughlins who hit the windward mark first, but Andy Browne and Diane Burgess in the Vago soon put paid to that with a scorching reach to take the lead. The McLaughlins managed a brief comeback on the last beat but it was too little too late as Browne took a 24 second lead over the line. Dara O'Connor took a solid third. The B fleet saw Anna McNulty put manners on the B fleet with a fine finish ahead of Conor O'Farrell and Conor Quinn.

The last race of the Frostbite Series is next Sunday 23rd at 2pm. The Mince Pie Trophy will be at 1.45 on 26th and the Christmas Walk on Thursday 27th at 11am from the Clubhouse.

Afterwards in the Clubhouse Santa made a brief appearance via the North Pole and was entertained with a fine rendition of Christmas carols led by baritone Sean McDonagh. Is there no limit to this man's talents?
