O’Hare whistles down the wind!!

The 2011 Warrenpoint Regatta took place on Carlingford Lough on Saturday with excellent conditions for competitive cruiser racing. With steady 15 knot SW winds, cruisers raced from CLYC Killowen to the finish line off the Old Municipal Baths in Warrenpoint.

“Aurora” skippered by Michael O’Hare (CLYC) took line honours, winning the coveted Whistledown Trophy for the second time. Brian McCann (CLYC) & crew took second in the flying “Gannet” with Peter Callan (CSC) in “Asking?” taking third. Presentations will take place next Saturday at CLYC clubhouse in conjunction with the CLYC Cruiser Regatta.
