McIlwaine Makes Mince Meat of Competition

The only edible trophy of 2013 was won by Luke McIlwaine on Boxing Day, completing a fine season for him and suggesting the promise of great things to come. The Roche Trophy for the A Fleet in the same race was won on handicap by Henry McLaughlin junior who ousted Rooney/McDonagh and his namesakes with ease. The handicap on the new 400’s is looking hard to live with and hopefully 2014 will see a few more of these exciting boats at the club. The Orr trophy for best junior was presented to Kate MacAdorey for her performance at the Tuesday races throughout the summer.

That’s all till after Easter in terms of club racing but junior training continues throughout the winter.
