McKay in Top Form

Rachel McKay followed last week's pole position with another stunning result last Sunday, despite a strong tide and light winds causing Race Officer Rooney to shorten the course after only one lap.

Kate MacAdorey was not far behind having recovered well from turns taken after hitting the leeward mark (along with many others).

In the A fleet Jim Linton sailed away from the fleet to take the bullet by at least a leg. Philip O'Connor was delighted to take second position and even more delighted not to have had a swim.

Hicks and Matthews meanwhile, although struggling in the light airs, were more than pleased to take a third position.

As the Late Season draws to a close it looks like Rooney/McDonagh will walk away with the Lyon Trophy yet again and Conor Quinn with the B league.

There are a few tickets left for the Dinner Dance on Saturday 10th November in the Whistledown Hotel with music by Rimini. Tickets from Joan at 4173 9535 or Caitriona at 4173 9830.

Rachel McKay takes her second win this year.
