Paddy Rooney returned from a sabbatical and with the aid of his ace crew Catherine McDonagh (and a very favourable wind shift) stole the race from start to finish. Chased by the McLaughlins his lead did slip at one point but a collision with a buoy and the subsequent penalty put paid to that threat and allowed The Morris Men, AKA Michael O’Hare and Osmond Morris, slip into second place and seal the deal on the Frostbite Series. Ian Roche who looked strong initially had to settle for third.
In the B Fleet a rash of protests has left the series up in the air. The Protest Committee will have its work cut out next Sunday and their decision will probably decide the overall result in the B Fleet Frostbite. Sunday's race was won by Conor O’Farrell, just moved into his Laser 4.7. Second was Stephen Finnegan and third Kate MacAdorey.

The Bradley Cup Presented
The Warrenpoint Historical Society have commemorated Liam Bradley, a founder member of CLYC by donating a perpetual cup, in memory of Liam. The Bradley Cup is for the best youth overall. His wife Anne, son Cormac and Eunan Crawford, treasurer of the WHS presented the cup to Commodore Henry McLaughlin and then to this year's winner, Stephen Finnegan.
