Great Start to the Season for McParland

The sailing season started last weekend in freezing conditions at Baltimore. With a terrible forecast for the Sunday, 3 rather than 2 races were held on Saturday. Quite a few sailors only managed to survive the first two races and with no discard, that was going to cost them dearly when sailing was cancelled on Sunday due to lashing rain and wind gusting 30 knots. Paul McParland came up trumps as first youth in the Standard rigs. Other sailors from CLYC were Kate MacAdorey in the 4.7's, Helen McParland in a Radial and Henry McLaughlin Junior in the Standards.

Don’t forget Sailing starts this coming weekend, Sunday 7th April so get your boat sorted!
